Max’s practice focuses on franchise registration and regulatory compliance, as well as litigation issues affecting franchise systems such as the enforcement and interpretation of franchise agreements. Max also drafts franchise disclosure documents, franchise agreements, and other commercial agreements, and assists franchisor clients with day-to-day legal matters, including franchisee disputes, transfers, renewals, and trademark-related work.
Max and Lane co-authored an article that was published in the Summer 2013 edition of the Franchise Law Journal, entitled Planning Ahead: Creating and Enforcing Mandatory Development Schedules in Area Development, Area Representative, and Master Franchise Relationships.
Max also served as the moderator on a panel at the 2015 IFA Legal Symposium regarding the basics of franchise disclosure law, and co-authored a paper in connection with this presentation.
Max is a graduate of George Washington University Law School (J.D. 2011) and received a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University (magna cum laude, 2008).
Max is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
