Barbara Gibson
Barbara’s practice focuses on both litigation and transactional matters. With respect to disputes and litigation, Barbara represents franchise clients in a variety of matters relating to management of a franchise system, including renewals and transfers, defaults and terminations, trademark protection, and franchisee disputes. Barbara takes pride in advocating for her clients and developing creative strategies to navigate legal challenges to achieve her clients’ business goals.
Barbara also represents clients in transactional matters, such as drafting and updating disclosure documents, franchise agreements and related documents, as well as assisting with state franchise registration and regulatory compliance.
Prior to her time at Fisher Zucker, Barbara spent over a decade practicing complex business litigation at a prominent class action firm advocating for clients in the securities and data breach practice areas. Barbara has also worked in corporate compliance, as well as in the financial industry.
Education
Barbara is a graduate of Villanova Law School (J.D. 2009) and received a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame (2004).
Admissions
Barbara is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New York. Barbara is also admitted to the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
